27.4.1964 - 1.04.2023
Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Cherished son of Judy & Bob. Loved brother of Robyn & Stephen Maathuis. Devoted Dad to Wade, James and Grace, and their respective partners Louisa, Kerri and Seamus. Special Grandad and Pop to Robert and Oliver; Alex and Owen; Aleigh, Parker and Porsha. 'Funcle' to Rebecca & Will, Daniel & Amy, and Mya. Please join David's family at a celebration of his life, which was lived to the hilt with fun and zest at Silverstream Retreat, 3 Reynolds Bach Drive, Lower Hutt on Thursday 6th April at 12 Noon. Our thanks to Te Omanga hospice and level 4 Hutt Hospital for the care and compassion shown to David and the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Omanga Hospice would be appreicated. Messages may be left on David's tribute page at www.tributes.co.nz. The service will be live-streamed via the same tribute page.
