Very sad to hear of David's passing. He was such a lovely person and I feel very fortunate to have worked alongside him when employed at the Ministry of Health in the environmental health team. His tips on pest control were hugely appreciated and implemented on our farm in South Canterbury. My sincerest condolences to David's family - I will be thinking of you all tomorrow.

So sorry to hear of David's passing. I first met him when the TTC got involved in maintaining a stoat trapping line in the Remutaka Forest Park. David has been a reliable and trustworthy leader of the trapping team for many years. He was always great to talk to at Trust gatherings because of his original mind and scientific perspective. We will greatly miss his contributions to the Remutaka Conservation Trust and the commitment he showed to environmental causes. Haere ra, David.

Very sorry I can't be at David's service as I will be overseas. For over 20 years David was a wonderful work colleague and friend. A dedicated water quality scientist respected all over NZ who also leaves a legacy in restoring the natural environment.
Whenever I see a pair of Kaka or Tuis flying over the house I will now think of David. Above all David was a wonderful colleague, friend, scientist, environmentalist and a true gentleman.

Dear Aunty Barbara, Andrew, Robert, Bridgid and Meredith.
I am saddened to hear of Uncle David's passing and really sorry I can't be there with you.
My Mum was very lucky to have such a caring big brother and I have fond memories over the years of the time we had all spent together and hearing the stories of their younger years when they were chatting too.
Sending love and hugs to you all at the time of sadness.
