On October 29th 2020, peacefully with family by his side. Aged 84 years. Devoted husband of the late Alice for 55 years. Loved father and father-in-law of John & Paula, Katherine and Philip. Proud granddad to Benjamin, Gabrielle, Sebastian, Mackenzie, Scarlett & Archie. Special thanks to the staff of Charles Fleming for their outstanding care and kindness. David will be remembered for his generosity and gentle nature. A service to celebrate David's life will be held at 1.00pm on Friday 6 November 2020 at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae.

Eyres Family,
By way of introduction, my name is Alex Findlay and I live in Whakatane.
Late last year I visited my cousin Frank Grant who lives in the U.K.
Frank asked me to see if I could contact his friend and best man David Eyres, whom he had lost contact with a number of years ago.
Their address being 1A82, 112 Parata Street, Waikanae.
Unfortunately, by way of internet search, I have discovered that both David and Alice have passed away. My deepest condolences to the Eyres family.
Frank would very much like to make contact with David´s children if they are willing, if so, I can supply them with Franks contact details.
