On behalf of the Janssens family - condolences on the loss of your big sister. My memories are of younger days with both families and marching as a young girl with Colleen as coach and Shona marching. Very happy memories of both families together. Apologies would have attended the funeral but have only just heard. Thinking of you and remembering you all. Lynda Byron (Janssens)

I am so sorry to hear about Colleen's passing. I had worked with her on a couple of occasions (when "the girls" as she called them) performed at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Wellington in 2016. We were also hoping to work together for the NZ Tattoo in Palmerston this year. Unfortunately not.
I always admired Colleen's "staunchness", her dedication to her work, the girls, the performance and the excellence she achieved with them all. They were a joy to watch.
And I must admit, that sometimes, I was a bit scared of her, because of her staunchness! She didn't suffer fools lightly.
So, rest in peace Colleen.
I feel very privileged to have worked for even such a short time with you.

Colleen was an inspiration to so many marching girls. I marched in Lochiel many years ago with Shona and marched against Colleen when she was in Glen Garry Robinsons. My thoughts are with the family and Shona. Rest in Peace Colleen
