Barry Forman
December 16, 2023
My name is Barry Forman. I was Colins plumber/drainlayer in the 1970s. Colin was a humble, amiable gentleman, a very capable, self taught builder who surprised me when he told me he was an All Black, 1953 midfielder, noted for his tackling.
He loved his skiing and shocked me when he said that if he discovered skiing when he was 17, he would never have played rugby.
I told him it was sacrilege for an All Black to say that.
It was an absolute honour and a privilege to know and to work for Colin.
Warmest regards to Colin's family.

Friends of Joy who trained with her in Wellington in 1950 - 1952 remember Colin. They also remember him from when they both attended reunions of those friends in later years. We offer our sympathies to the family members, all of whom we met through the Round Robin letters Joy wrote over the years since Wellington
