Colin GIBSON Obituary

GIBSON, Colin Kingsford:
Of Paekakariki and Levin. On 13 June 2021, Colin died unexpectedly and peacefully in his cottage at Summerset Village, Levin, aged 92. Beloved husband of the late Betty Gibson. Dearly loved father of Janet, Russell, Deborah and Angela, and father-in-law of Mike, Janice, Malcolm and Mark. Much loved Grandad of Rachel and Lucy; Alice and Sam; Zoe and Emily; and Nick and Sophie. Proud Great-Grandfather of six (soon to be eight) great-grandchildren. Adored older brother of Rae Chaney and Merle Bilderbeck and loved younger brother of the late Jean Gillard and Dawn Sewell. Colin always remained a Paekakariki boy at heart and was a pillar of that community. He will be fondly remembered as a straight shooter with a keen sense of humour but, above all, for his love and caring for family. We are grateful for the support of Summerset Village which enabled Colin to live life on his own terms until the very end. A private family service has been held. Any messages to the Gibson Family, c/- 547 Queen Street, Levin.
