What an honour having Colin as a mentor and friend in my life.
Colin and Maureen were great friends of my parents Beatrice and Pat.
I remember as children, sitting on the stairs, watching our parents party.
Laughter, dancing the twist and fancy dress.
All so happy in the buoyancy of New Zealand post war, enjoying the sixties.
Colin supporting our family in times of grief at the tragic death of my father.
Helping my Mother locate Dad´s headstone to the Trentham church.
Colin and Maureen with a long long friendship to my Mother Beatrice.
Treasured guests at Beatrice´s 40th and her 100th birthday.
Thank you, Colin, for your long and loving involvement with the Patterson family.
See you on the other side.
Louisa

A chance meeting in Whakatane years ago and Colin thought he had found a bridge partner. We were there only for a few days and had not relocated there.
Colin was a good bridge partner [and opponent] but must be remembered for his service to St Johns Church at Trentham. A committee of one to build the Church Hall was an outstanding achievement. When St Johns celebrated 150 years Colin spoke of this and what he had learned from the process and how it had served him in his various endeavours.
Radio Windy among others.
Colin, RIP and rise in Glory.

I met Colin in the 1980´s and have had various occasions while in the hospitality industry in Upper Hutt. He was always positive and helpful to me and great for a laugh. It was an honour to meet him.

To Maureen and all the family I send my love and sorrow. Colin was a dear friend of my Bill and was always affectionate and kind to his many friends. We had a lot of laughs together over the years. He had a huge capacity to engage in new enterprises and was always full of interesting ideas. You can all be very proud of him.
