Colin BLAKELEY Obituary
On Tuesday 21 June 2022, passed away suddenly, aged 78. Beloved husband of Lindsay, loved father of Paul and Anne, and loved grandfather of Grace. Loved Colin to Jo and Des Harris, Angela and Steve Wilton, and loved grandfather to Jordan, Drew, Maxwell and Bella. Funeral for Colin to be held at the Whenua Tapu Chapel, Airlie Road, Pukerua Bay, on Thursday 30 June at 2.00pm. Further celebrations of Colin's life will be held on Sunday 3 July at 4.00pm at Lyall Bay Surf Club. In lieu of flowers, donations directly to either Wellington Free Ambulance or Porirua Fire Service.

Have only tonight (3/8) learnt of Colin's passing. Sincere condolences Lindsay & family. I have many happy memories of playing squash & socialising with Colin at The Island Bay Tennis & Squash Club. Also of having Colin as a member in a veterans triathlon team over several years. Good times. RIP mate, Iain

Terribly sad to hear of Colin's passing. He was always a very friendly and fun person to be around. Fond memories from Harbour Capital swimming. More recently we would chat while swimming at Porirua pool. Unfortunately I'm isolating with Covid so cannot attend the funeral. With love and my sincere condolences to Lindsay and the family.

So sad to hear of Colin´s passing. I will always remember him as such an energetic, fun and humorous person.Memories of him in the Master Swimming days will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Colin.
