To Ryan, Lachlan and Craig - so sorry to hear of Claires passing. She will be sorely missed by each of you as the very special person she was. I look back on the years of fun that Claire (Blue:) and I shared in our youth together here in the Wairarapa. The ponies, the horses, the parties, the night-clubs, the cigarettes (long since given up), the red wine, the Tin Hut, Pony Club Camp, Hunt Balls and one & 3 day eventing - we did it all, and also painted the town red, white and blue at times - all in good fun. Then our paths crossed again as we were both living and working in the UK. The champers and laughs flowed again. In recent years we just never found the time to meet up again but our thoughts were always there. Just been reading a few old emails from Claire to myself, and she writes so proudly of both her sons, and also affirms her complete happiness with you Craig. You may find comfort in reading this extract from an old email from Claire to me: 'It's taken years but I think I'm a lot more like the Claire you knew, just with a huge flood of water under the bridge which is apparently called experience, much older, not a lot wiser, oh and yes quite a few wrinkles too, but feeling very whole and complete". Each of you be strong for Claire, and keep those memories alive. Sincerely Grant Alecock (and Marcus)
