Christine CHANS-HYAMS Obituary
Passed away peacefully on 12th September 2022 at Mary Potter Hospice after a two and half year battle with cancer. Much loved wife of David and beloved mother of Jasmine. Our hearts are heavy with the weight of love that remains. Sister to Mervyn, Gregory and late Margaret. In accordance with her wishes a private cremation has been held. A celebration of Christine's life will be held Saturday 17th September at 2pm Club Garibaldi Rooms, (formerly The Cricketers) Cnr of Vivian and Tory Street. Special thanks to Kate Clark at Wellington Hospital Oncology Unit for their consideration and treatment. Also thanks to the staff at Wellington Hospital and Mary Potter Hospice for their kindness and care they extended to Christine over the months. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Christine Chan-Hyams this week. I have known Christine and David for decades, and her passing will be sorely felt by those who love and loved her. David, Jasmine, Greg and Mervyn - please accept our most humble and sincere condolences upon the loss of your best friend - your wife, mother and sister. May she be at peace now - flying high.
