It is with great sadness that I Lana,my mother Karen and brother JJ Nicholls can not attend the farewell and celebration of Cheryl's life today. We were blessed to have met Cheryl, Bill, Tracey, Glen,Todd, and Shane over 30 plus years ago whilst travelling the country side to many squash competitions along with my cousin Darrin Nicholls back in our junior squash days, and over the years our family's grew a special bond. In hindsight, fate brought our families together, we had the same interests, goals, respect and morals. Bill, and my late father Johnny, Cheryl and mum became the best of friends and us kids ............. Always lots of laughs, JJ and Todd always up to mischief, so many cherished fun filled memories. The Wilson family became our family.
I was so thrilled that both Cheryl and Bill could come over to the Gold Coast to attend our wedding in 2003. I enjoyed Cheryl and one of her sisters who stayed with my husband and I on the Gold Coast a few years ago and would reflect on those wonderful times together.
We all have our own special memories of Cheryl, she was kind, a fun loving person and always made people happy when they were around her, her love for Bill, her children her grand kids and great grand children was second to none and as much as she will be missed by all, will remain in our hearts for ever. Last but not least Bill, I'm certain that my dad and all our loved ones who have passed will be their with open arms to greet Cheryl at the pearl of gates in heaven.
We love you all, Kia kaha , Arohanui the Nicholls whanau on the Gold Coast Australia formerly from Otaki Nz.
