Catherine, you were my mentor and friend. Thank you for being such an inspiring woman of integrity. Your expectations with my work were high and you coached me well. I have always been grateful for your friendship and wisdom. I valued the time I spent on your beautiful Te Horo property with you and Ron. I am sorry I have only just learned of your passing and send my best wishes to your family, who I know you adored. May you rest in peace Catherine.

I remember Catherine from Macandrew Intermediate School days and then through Bible Class and as the wife of my very good friend Ron and was Groomsman at their Wedding. My wife and I respected and loved Catherine very much through out the years and I wish that she rest in peace. Love to all the family.

Catherine was a major influencer on our modern school system through her work in the Ministry of Education. She had a deep concern of the students. She materially improved the quality of education in her years as deputy to the Secretary. She brought together the curriculum, the quality of teaching, the state of buildings and even school transport.

Catherine was a very kind person who was much loved by all those who worked with her.
