My Dear Carmen....my pen pal across the seas...
We met through your never ending kindness at the start of the pandemic when I could not get access to Simon Shukers code cracker puzzles here in the US at that time. We bonded immediately and I looked forward to all your pictures and emails...especially the photos of your family and their happy events.
I always joked with you about swimming here to Florida, so I could help u in any way I could...and knew, that u knew, life was going to be shortened for u. I hope u got a chance to give the pieces of jewelry to your boys that u had made up for them...
To Gerry and the boys....she was an incredible human being and I will miss her terribly. ( I knew when I didn´t hear back from her that she could not!)
Her love for her family, her job, this life, knew no bounds. The legacy she leaves behind will be remembered forever and her smile is indelible in my brain.

This is just the saddest news. I am so sorry we had no idea Carmen was so unwell.
Sending our deepest sympathies to Gerry, Gabriel, Beau, Conor, Rodger, Jen. Our hearts are breaking for Melissa and Guy (and their families) our other kiwi cousins.
Carmen was such a sensational human, those close to her are lucky to have had her in their lives.
What a great loss to her family and community.
Carmen will be at peace now with her beautiful mum.
Much love Jo, Tom and Angus (the Aussie cousins)
