Bruce KELLY Obituary
Died 10th July 2022 in Wellington. Dearly loved husband of Kathleen. Loved and respected by his extended family. Aged 89 years. Sincere thanks to the staff who cared for Bruce at Metlifecare Karori Sprott Village. A private family service and cremation has been held. Bruce was the best principal that I encountered during the whole of my teaching career. He had a heart of gold, and always respected and was loyal to his staff. He was upright and honest, and ran "a tight ship" but, at the same time, he was very kind hearted, and had a great sense of humour. Bruce will always be remembered by teachers and children from Karori Normal School.

It was with deep sadness that I read the passing of Bruce Kelly. Bruce employed me at Karori Normal in 1989 as a young teacher and was a great mentor. He showed kindness and trust in ones teaching ability and had a wonderful way of making you feel valued as a young teacher. He was a great principal. My thoughts go out to Bruce's family at this time. Jenny Austin

Mr Kelly was a great Principal at Karori Normal School. He will be missed by all who knew him. And his Wife was the principal at wellington girls college. He was always smiling and easy to talk to.
