Have just heard of Brian's passing, we came out from UK together in 1959 and lived in a flat with 3 other guys for 2 to 3 years - he was always a great guy and plenty of fun - the photo is of the guys and their wives that lived with Brian in the early 60s

Just heard the sad news. Brian you were such a lovely guy, straight, honest and true. You were often the voice of reason and wisdom when my enthusiasm got the better of me and once when I screwed up by losing a huge roof detachable flashing light unit on the State Highway. It fell off! "Don't tell anyone or you'll be fired", that was your advice and so true!!

I had the honour of working with Brian for over ten years with Wellington Free Ambulance. He was a wonderful mentor and colleague and a great asset to the service, a man whose qualities were appreciated by everyone. It is with great fondness that I reflect on memories of those times. RIP Brian.
