Brian Stanley John:


Retired Police Superintendent left us suddenly aged 84 on 14 August 2022. He died at Wellington Hospital surrounded by his family. Brian will be greatly missed by wife Pam, children Michael, Maree & Shane, Paul & Helen, grand- children Bree, Jaime, Kate, Aiden, Sophie & Connor. Much loved brother of Gary and Vivienne and their partners Beverley and Jamie. Brian's life will be celebrated on Thursday 18 August at 1pm at St Johns Anglican Church, Johnsonville, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance can be left at the service.

I first my Brian at the Trentham Recuit Course where Brian was my room mate, I learnt early to respect him in a big way and followed his rise through out the ranks, I last met him at Silvedale north of Auckland at a coffee shop in about 1998.

Brian taught me to be a detective 1972 D course Trentham where Pam and I graduated recruits 1966.
