Bob WEAR Obituary

Died peacefully at Huntleigh Rest Home, Karori on 9 July 2023, aged 82. Dearly loved partner and husband of Jan Pearson. Former husband of Mary (deceased). Eldest son of Kathleen and George (deceased). Brother and brother-in-law of Peter and Les and Julia and Ron Stevens. Respected father and father-in-law of Jeremy and Jo, Melanie, and Ian Cosgrove (London), Callum and Violette (Tonbridge), Kath and Mike Tate, Andrew Morrison, and Michelle Dalley. Much loved Grandpa Bob of, Henry and Briar, Millie and Conor, Elliott, Teo, Anais, Lauren, and James. Bob was a proud Marine Biologist, teacher, researcher, and member of staff at Victoria University of Wellington for over 40 years. He was an enthusiastic trout fisher, golfer, gardener, cyclist, and friend who lived a full and active life. A private family cremation will be held, followed by a celebration of his life later in the year. The family sincerely thank staff at Huntleigh for their professional and compassionate care of Bob over the last two years.
