Beverley BAKER Obituary

On 27th February 2024, our Mum, aged 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded with love and her children at her side, after a short illness, at Wellington Regional Hospital. Treasured and loved wife of the late Peter and adored big sister of Rona (dec) and Valarie Collins (dec). Beloved and cherished Mum of Jo, Kathy, Phil, Rosie and cheeky mother-in-law of John, Trudie and Stewart. Extremely proud Grandma of Vicki (dec) and Raewyn, Melissa, Kelsey and Jarrod, Lance and Toni, Samuel and Amelia, and Aimee and their partners Regan, Oscar, Ian, Michael, Sean and Scott. Precious Great-Grandma of Dylan, Théo and great-grandchild due in May. Dearly loved sister-in-law of Barry, Marie, Joy, Richard (dec) and Meryl. Proud Aunty of her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Mum will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Fly high – forever in our hearts.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Wellington Regional Hospital for their care of Mum over the last two weeks. For those unable to attend, a live-stream link of Beverley's service can be accessed from her tribute page. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be made at www.wfa.org.nz or left at the service. A celebration of Beverley's life will be held at The Pines, 50 The Esplanade, Houghton Bay, Wellington, Monday, March 4th, 2023, at 11.00am, followed by private cremation. A shuttle will be running from the Princess Bay carpark up to The Pines before and after the funeral as parking on site is limited.
