Betty JONES Obituary

Dear Giles Angus Stuart & Sam, Many happy memories of Betty & John & of us all with young families, All the Church Fairs we worked at. I would loved to have been at the service yesterday. My thoughts are with you all.

A respected and well-known Stokes Valley identity now gone. Never forgotten. May Betty's memories live on. Thank you for patronizing my fruit store and being a good friend.

What an influential woman Betty was in my life. From being my Mum´s `church friend´mto an early example of how to integrate people with disabilities into the wider community, her work with new mothers and their babies was probably how most people in the Stokes Valley community came into contact with her.
Her and John´s example of parenting Angus was life changing for those of us who parent children with disabilities, of whatever age.
I will miss knowing that those eyes are twinkling still, she was a beacon of kindness and service to the Stokes Valley community.

Dear Giles, Angus, and Stuart, I´m so very sorry you have lost your Mum. I´ve been isolating with covid so couldn´t come to her funeral today. She was kind, interested, and community-minded. I always admired her nursing achievements. It was lovely growing up with Betty and you all in our lives and she was always so very kind to us girls. I know how much our parents thought of each other. I am sorry to hear of your loss, although we have lost contact over time, I have many wonderful memories of you all with Betty and John growing up together.
