Belinda RICKETTS Obituary

We met each month at Palmers garden centre and now we go and Belinda is not there...

Belinda has been my friend for 46 years, first meeting in Cornwall where we both lived, since when we have been in close contact ever since, she in NZ & I in the Yorkshire Dales, England. We have met many times over the years both in London & here in the Dales. Indeed, Belinda and Harry came to stay here.
I have only just found out about Belinda's passing, the last time I had an email being in October 2023 when she was failing. I can only say that her moving on to pastures new will leave a huge void in my life but I shall hold dear the memories of such a lovely friend.
Belinda taught my daughter Sophie to play piano & kindly had my son and girlfriend to stay in Wellington whilst they took a year out travelling many years ago.
My heartfelt thoughts are with Harry, Tom & family ... Belinda was very proud of her 2 grandsons & sent me many photos.
God bless you Belinda, never to be forgotten x

Very sad news - Although I had not been in touch with Belinda in recent years, I had her in my thoughts from time to time - as a student at Victoria University, we had subjects in common - I remember times at her parent's house in Nae Nae and the in particular a Mozart flute concerto (which she was learning at the time) - happy memories of Lake Rotoiti as well - also a visit here in Sydney - she will always be remembered fondly - Robert Pringle ([email protected] - Sydney)

Our family have lovely memories of Belinda for over 30 years beginning at Kelburn Normal School with Tom and Arie being in the same class. Shortly after Belinda was Adriana and Arie's piano teacher where they both reached 6th grade. We had great Christmas recitals where all her pupils gathered together to perform in front of the parents, and many a Christmas carol was sung.

I will miss seeing you and chatting with you while on your walks and popping the odd bag of lemons in your letterbox.
