Very sad to see the notification of a memorial service for Armer on the the email from the Wellington Organists' Assoc. I've known him at least since I moved to Wgton in 1969 and where we both worked in the Vocational Guidance Service. We and Val did a memorable tour to Eastern Europe and Russia in 1984(?) and also attended a St Albans Organ Festival. Usually when in Nelson visiting a family member he dropped in for a chat. I always appreciated his company, his insights and wisdom. A great person to have known. RIP.

Whatever this life has been
Of love or faith or beauty,
whatever these hands have done
from kindness, care or duty
whatever his lasting joy
of deepest human feeling,
whatever his inner eye
has seen of God's revealing,
Now let his spirit go
beyond our time and telling,
where love prepared a room,
and peace has made a dwelling.

With all our love, Roy and Pamela Tankersley
