Dear Liz and family.
I came and went several times into and out of Andy's proximity over the years, and and he was always one of the great parts of coming back.
Editing in news under tight deadlines was my favourite job in TV, and Andy was one of the best parts of the experience. He was always a wonderful, funny guy, and was always helpful and welcoming.
I can't imagine Wellington News without him.
My thoughts are will you.

Dear Liz and family,
deeply saddened to hear of Andy's death. I've been thinking a lot about him over the last few days. He was one of the few people at TVNZ in Wgtn I felt comfortable around. The edit suite with Andy was a place where I felt I could relax with a kindred spirit. We talked a lot about his Piper cub, Steve's accident and remarkable survival, the military and flying, always flying. Those days are very special memories in my early career and Andy is and always will be a central figure who meant a lot to me, and to everyone else. To Andy, fly free friend and like any good fighter pilot, always watch your six.

Thinking of you Liz, and family. Andy was a wonderful man. He certainly always made me laugh. Your pain must be immense. Thank you for sharing the funeral - watched from home with tears streaming. Much aroha.

Thank you for the opportunity to be there via video link for Andy's send-off from afar and to hear so many wonderful tributes to beautiful Andy and his bright shining spirit. Journey well Andy. Everyone will miss you so, but our love goes with you always xx

Such a wonderful colleague, husband, father and family man. A heartbreaking loss for all who knew and loved him and his bone-dry sense of humour. Such joy to welcome grandson Charlie, such sorrow to farewell Andy just days later. God speed Andy. Those upstairs are so lucky to now have you doubling them over in laughter.

Dear Liz and family
I'm so sad to hear of Andy's death, way too early.
He was a fine man, as well as being one of the very best editors I ever worked with. He took great care over every story, making it the best it could be in the time he had.
In the 25 years I worked with him, I never saw him lose his temper, even under brutal deadlines. He often eased tension with deadpan, dry quips. I always enjoyed his company, appreciating his kindness, good humour and decency.
My warmest sympathies to you all in your loss.

To Liz and family. So sorry for your loss. I remember Andy as a great friend, colleague and boss. I knew Andy in the film section at Avalon and editing at Petrolcorp House. Thinking of you all - Chris Crowe

Liz and family I am feeling very sad for you all, such a big loss to cope with. I remember Andy most from morning walks with Aussie along Petone beach.
