Allan BLOOMFIELD Obituary
Lt. Colonel (Retired), MBE, ED, RNZIR. Peacefully on February 13, 2017, at Wellington Hospital, aged 79 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Myreine, much loved father of Colin, Ashley, and Michelle, and father-in-law of Libby, Luis, and Daniel. Loving and adored Grandad of Sophie, Olivia, Matthew, Hugh and Thomas. Loved brother of the late Jessie, and brother-in-law of Reg and Bruce. Special thanks to the fantastic team at Ward 5, Wellington Hospital for their exceptional care of Allan. In lieu of flowers donations to Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A funeral service for Allan will be held in the Whenua Tapu Crematorium Chapel, Airlie Road, Pukerua Bay, on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2.00pm, followed by private interment. Allan was service manager at Townsend Motors during the late 1960's to the early 1970's and was a great boss and friend while I worked there as a truck mechanic.

Both my boys and I will miss your Dad's wonderful sense of humour, and they will miss his ginger beer and quad bike rides too. His conversation was always thought provoking, and he never forgot what we had discussed at the last visit. Our thoughts are with you all at this saddest of times.
