Died peacefully on 14 August 2024, aged 92 years. Caring partner of Shirley and dear husband to the late Patricia. Loved father and father-in-law to Andrew and Cath, Jo and John, and Sarah and Murray. Proud grandad to his 9 grandchildren. Alistair's service will be held on Wednesday 21 August 2024 at St Mary's Anglican Church, Karori, at 11.00am. Many thanks to Dr Jenner and the caring staff of Te Hopai and Wellington Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations to the Te Hopai Trust. Messages for the family can be posted c/- Lychgate Funerals, 306 Willis Street, Aro Valley, Wellington.

I have many happy memories of Mr and Mrs McLachlan. Mrs McLachlan was a wonderful customer at Juliette Florist of Kelburn in the early days! (Always carnations and gypsophila!)
Alistair was always good company!
And Shirley in the latter days a great couple!
