(Woodlands Retirement Village, Feilding. Formerly of Wellington) Peacefully with his family holding his hands at Palmerston North Hospital after a full life. Loved husband of Margaret. Loved father and father-in-law of Fiona and Ruawharo Whaanga (deceased) (Napier), Sarah and Kevin McCord (Palmerston North) and Christine and Paul Greig (Palmerston North). Loved grandad of Emara, Paiana and Arahi; Rebecca, Nathan and Jessica; Jack and Sarah. Loved great-grandad to his 11 great-grandchildren (Hawke's Bay, Palmerston North, Christchurch, Gold Coast and Brisbane). Loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Margaret and Ray Belesky, and uncle to John, David, Annie and Peter (Australia and Masterton). The family wish to thank the wonderful staff at Palmerston North Hospital, especially those in Ward 26, for the care they showed to Alex in his last days. Messages to 41c Clevely Line, RD8, Palmerston North 4478. A Memorial Service to celebrate Alex's life will be held at the Feilding Funeral Chapel, 282 Kimbolton Road, Feilding, on Monday 17 January 2022, at 2.00pm. ''My vaccine pass' will be scanned at the door.
