Alan WRIGHT Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Wellington Hospital on Tuesday 17th January 2023, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of Rhondda. Loved father of Carl (Perth), Donna & Brendon (Wellington). Adored Poppy of Anthony (Perth). Loved brother of Trish, brother-in-law of Paul, Alf, Dene & Keith and a dear uncle to all his many nieces & nephews. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at level 6 South, Wellington Hospital, Wellington Free Ambulance and Mary Potter Palliative Care Team. A service to celebrate Alan's life will be held at Cedarwood, 17 Parata Street, Waikanae, on Tuesday 24th January at 2.00pm. Donations to Mary Potter Hospice in Alan's memory would be appreciated www.marypotter.org.nz/donate or may be left at the service.

My condolences to Rhondda and family. I enjoyed playing cricket with Alan in the 70s/80s . He was always a pleasure to converse with
And gave back to the sport later with his umpiring when my sons played.
Sadly I am unable to attend the service tomorrow.

Alan always added a witty and jovial presence at the Waikanae Table Tennis Club, and he was a fine player too. It was a privilege to know him in the relatively short time that I did. His great stature was not just limited to his physical height. He will long be remembered and missed.
