Adrian SCHWARZ Obituary
Adrian passed away peacefully and with beherztheit at home, surrounded by his family, aged 61 years. Dearly loved and most treasured husband of Alison. Adored 'Pa' of Hugo, Tilly and Meghan. Loved son of the late Wilma and Herbert Schwarz and brother of Bernhard and Martin. Treasured by all his nieces and nephews. Our very special thanks to Anne O'Donnell and her team at the Bowen Icon Centre for their compassion, care and support of Adrian over many years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated and may be made online at https://marypotter.org.nz/support-us/donations/. Messages to the Schwarz family may be left in Adrian's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted c/- PO Box 7123, Wellington, 6242. A service for Adrian will be held at Worser Bay Boating Club, Karaka Bay Road, Seatoun, Wellington 6022 on Friday, 14th June, at 1:00pm, thereafter private cremation. This service can be viewed via the Tributes Website.

Dear Alison, I was so sad to hear that Adrian had passed away. My memories of him are stuck in a time warp...from when we were students at university...Denny & I, with Adrian, trying to learn German together, at university - we would have study evenings to try and master vocabulary but spent more time drinking coffee and eating Denny's mother's home baking...celebration meals at restaurants when we had a birthday, or reunion dinners when Denny & Adrian met up with their Rongotai high school buddies...they are vivid memories but from such a long time ago. Thank you for sharing the funeral service with us. It was lovely to see what a full life Adrian had lived and how much he packed into it. The children you have raised are a beautiful legacy and I was in tears as I listened to the three of them describe their love for Adrian. Fare thee well Adrian. You lead a good life. You achieved much, enjoyed life and created a wonderful family. There is no greater legacy. I keep many memories of our good times together. RIP
