LUNEY, Adeline (Melva):
Passed away peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospital, Christchurch, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, aged 106 years (young). Dearly loved wife of Bill (deceased), devoted partner of Doug (deceased). Much loved, amazing mother and mother-in-law of Dale and Richard Sharpe, Kay Scott (deceased), Leigh Luney, and Tessa and Brian Elias. An adored Mamma of grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew Sophie, Claire, Nina, Francesca, Bianca, Beth, Phoebe, Abi, Frith, Alice, and Harry, great-grandchildren Oscar, Millie, Aaliyah, Pip, Remy, Macy, Ben, Emily, Lukas, Fox, Tui and Maku. Dearly loved sister of Bill Jackson (deceased), Ruth (Doll) Thompson (deceased), Marie Irvine (deceased), Anne Attwood (deceased), and families. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Catholic Church, 90 Greers Road, Burnside, Christchurch, on Wednesday, October 19, at 11.00am. Private burial thereafter. The Recitation of the Rosary will be held in the church on Tuesday, at 6.00pm.
