The sunset at Plimmerton, (thanks cousin Lucy Conway for providing this photo), is so poignant but also positively powerful and also gives us some calmness and tranquility.

I look at the photo and see many things, the scene is peaceful and serene....As all our memories of Rosaleen are.

Also, although the sun sets, and we see it disappear, we know this beautiful, life giving, powerful, positive force whilst going out of sight, it's power, warmth, beauty and influence of the past and future will continue.

When I was young, the family travelled on holidays and visited Plimmerton to be with Rosaleen, Garry and all the cousins.

As an adult living in Wainui, Val and I again travelled often with our children to visit our Plimmerton family.

The warmth and love there was / is like a magnet....My memories are of a welcoming, loving family and home.

Rosaleen always welcomed us with such hospitality and joy and nothing was a problem...a tall order I could imagine with first my 6 siblings and I when younger and then as an adult, Val and our four children.

Its so sad but Val and I warmly treasure the wonderful times with such a loving family.
